Spring immunity boost with honey

Spring – a time of rebirth in nature, but a real challenge for our body.
After a long winter, many of us feel tired, lack vitamins, and weather changes weaken the immune system. How to naturally strengthen the body and welcome the warm season full of energy? One of the simplest and tastiest ways – is to include natural honey in your daily diet.

Why honey?

Natural honey is a true gift of nature, rich in:

  • minerals (calcium, magnesium, potassium),
  • vitamins (especially B group and vitamin C),

How to use honey to strengthen immunity?

  • A teaspoon in the morning. Take one teaspoon of honey in the morning on an empty stomach, with warm (not hot!) water and lemon.
  • Ginger drink with honey. Mix a teaspoon of grated ginger, a teaspoon of honey, and pour warm water over it. This is a great drink to strengthen the body.
  • Honey with natural herbs. Use honey in herbal teas: thyme, linden, mint – these herbs help recover after winter fatigue.
  • Honey with first berries. In early summer when strawberries appear, make a refreshing dessert – pour fresh honey over strawberries.

What is important to know?

  • It is not recommended to heat honey above 40 °C – it loses valuable properties.
  • It is best to consume natural, high-quality Lithuanian honey, as it retains the maximum amount of nutrients.
